Observation notes: In Carlisle, MA, a mixture of wetlands and wooded forest. We rescued the caterpillar from our lamppost ~2 weeks ago (mid-July). It started forming a chrysalis the next day. We woke up this morning to find the butterfly had emerged, so we took it back outside.
