Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Seen at the base of the cliff at Seabright State Beach (Santa Cruz CA). The cliffside is vegetated with coastal scrub natives - coast buckwheat, seaside daisy, yarrow, gum plant, lizard tail, yellow bush lupine, and others. The butterfly was small, maybe an inch, flying fast and erratically, not sitting for long. Temp about 70, no wind to speak of.

Coordinator notes: There are no confirmed records of Lupine Blues in Santa Cruz County. They may be in that county inland, but Lupine Blues don't seem to like being near beaches-Ken Davenport. This one would need to be confirmed by having actual individuals to examine.
