Observation notes: The butterfly was on a low-lying dune at Seabright State Beach (Santa Cruz CA) which is vegetated with native dune species - beach evening primrose, beach burr, and pink and yellow sand verbenas. Temp in the low 70's; no particular wind. Photo by Nan Moore.

Coordinator notes: Lupine Blues have not yet been found in Santa Cruz County, they are in Monterey County. If there, they would likely be inland where buckwheats grow.-Ken Davenport
