Observation notes: Another observation of Clouded Skipper from SW NM, this time from the Pinos Altos Mts. N of Silver City. I observed 33 species this day, 4 of which were simultaneously nectaring on the same Cirsium sp. flower: Clouded Skipper, Edwards' Skipperling, Taxiles Skipper, Northern Cloudywing. When the Cloudywing vacated, it was replaced by Slaty & Large Roadside Skippers. I am not submitting the 'mob' photos since depth of field was an issue; focus is best for the Clouded Skipper in the photo included here.

Coordinator notes: NMElaine, your photo shows one Edwards' Skipperling and one female Taxiles Skipper. I can only approve and save each submittal for one species, so I'm going with the Edwards' Skipperling. If you want to resubmit, maybe crop out the skipperling, then I'll approve that one for Taxiles Skipper. thanks for submitting!
