Observation notes: Observed adjacent to a mixed bottomland forest and on a gravel road at Dick Cross Wildlife Management Area, Mecklenburg County, Virginia, USA. I believe it to be an Erynnis but I don't know and would like to understand the species.

Coordinator notes: Between timing, habitat, FW light spots, and HW dark spots this looks most like Horace's Duskywing. A photo from another angle and also some size scale would help.
