Coordinator notes: Stella is now known to be a subspecies of Anthocharis Julia. ID is provisional based on occurrence with Clodius Parnassians implying high elevation and date. An Anthocharis subspecies, pseudothoosa, cannot be ruled out. Stella normally has a yellowish flush. DNA and rearing confirm 3 species are in the sara complex-Ken Davenport. I have personally taken worn sara flying with freshly emerged stella.
