Tufted Bird-Dropping Moth
Cerma cerintha

Observation date: June 11, 2020
Date notes: The time of day is probably irrelevant since I found this in the house and it must have entered the house the previous day.

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I found this in the house on the frame of the kitchen window. I took a picture of that (will include it if I can upload more than one photo) then caught it in a jar and took a picture of it on the bottom of the jar from directly overhead. That will be the first photo I submit. When it had been on the side of the jar I could see the body, it was all white and very thin. The wings are held in at a different angle than all of the photos of the White-ribboned Carpet Moth, also the photo from the windowsill is a side view, and it shows a small spike in the middle of the back. Also a real small one behind the head.
