Our summer fundraiser has arrived, and we need your help!
We depend on donations to keep Butterflies and Moths of North America online and free. If everyone who uses this resource makes a donation, we could cover our ongoing costs, develop new features, upgrade the system, and maybe even remove those pesky ads. Please make a one-time or recurring donation to show your support for this valuable source of information. Thank you!
Observation notes: Weather for day was 44 low/91F SW@15-25/clear and Very nice. Skipper was seen about 2’up trunk of Cottonwood tree, on south side. I only got a couple photos and went to change lens. It was gone when I got back. It was slowly moving upwards the trunk while I observed.

Coordinator notes: Where there are yuccas there will be Yucca Giant-skippers. Thanks, James, for submitting these great photos of such a rarely reported butterfly!
