Observation notes: Was found on shaded part of our backyard patio window sill around noon. We've had a week of extreme dry heat weather with temperatures soaring above 100 degrees here in AZ, today is 109. It flew away after its picture was taken. It was then spotted 3 hours later at our front door floor base frame just sitting there. The pink zig zag pattern across its wings suggests this is female with a wingspan of about 5 inches.
