Observation notes: Insect was lethargic and walking / moving along the ground. I could lift up a pine cone it was on and it stayed in place. I did this to move it to the side of the trail. In the lower mountain slopes just above Silverthorne, CO, in mixed coniferous/aspen forest.

Coordinator notes: There are several species of Drasteria in Colorado. Not 100% since only an underside image. This species uses Shepherdia as a host plant, known in your area.
