Observation notes: Sitting under a camp fire and felt something large fall on me. May have been stifled by smoke. There were large pine trees overhead and two cherry trees within ten feet.
We gently moved it to safety where there were no ants. It was slowly moving it’s wings full range, up and down but with no effort to fly. We came back about ten minutes later and it was vibrating it’s wings quickly and then went back to the slow flapping motion as we came closer. It was gone by morning
