Sigmoid Prominent
Clostera albosigma

Observation date: May 21, 2020
Submitted by: FJackW
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Approximately -0c to +5c. On a glass&white stucco wall. Halogen entry light (very bright) always on at night (sensor) Thought the moth was debris and blew on it and seen slight movement. Assuming cold slowed it down or was dieing and alternately a new emerging moth/Butterfly, lt laid sideways until warmth while taking photos revived it somewhat. Sorry had to use selfi-cam my front phone cam was damaged. A fb group called Alberta bugs and insects , member suggested this identification. Also trees are poplar, Birch, pine, spruce and a wide expanse of mini to large apple trees, garden and lake within 2 blocks
