Observation notes: 65 degrees and sunny with little wind. High in a forested canyon among scrub oak and pine.

Coordinator notes: Your suggested ID is correct. Though the taxonomy of the Spring Azure complex hasn’t been completely sorted out yet, it is now generally accepted that Celastrina lucia is the species in western Colorado, while C. echo is the species east of the Continental Divide.
