Coordinator notes: Renee, that is a very nice find! they are in the Rio Grande bosque (caterpillars eat willow foliage), but not many people see, photograph and report them. thanks for doing that! Viceroy mimics monarch, but the hindwing has an extra black line that gives it away. Can you see it in your photo? parallel to the hindwing edge.
