Observation notes: Two together on an unidentified plant on a trail in Colorado Springs. Both were lying completely still on their sides. Appear to be male and female.

Coordinator notes: This is actually a mating pair of Melissa Blues, not Acmon Blues. The Acmon Blue is a west coast species, and it only has orange coloration on the ventral hindwing. The Melissa Blue has orange coloration on both the ventral forewing and hindwing. This is a relatively early observation date for this species in Colorado, so nice job with this sighting!
