Observation notes: I sent the image to Harry Pavulaan who responded with the following comments, "I have not seen a strongly-margined form in Summer Azure, thus leaving I.D. to Spring vs. Northern Azure... I know the general region around there. Dogwoods not present in any numbers to support populations of Spring Azure (C. ladon). This region has colonies of Northern Azure (C. lucia), mainly up toward Great North Mountain and over into West Virginia. I think we can chalk this one up as Northern Azure. I'll add it as a county record."
