Observation notes: While participating on the Alafia Banks Christmas Bird Count, Brian Ahern received a phone call from Cameron Cox, who thought he had found an Atala. When Brian and I drove to the spot, Brian identified it as a Great Purple Hairstreak. I had forgotten all about this sighting -- and the fact that I had gotten a photograph -- until my stay-at-home COVID-19 order has given me dozens of hours to sort through 18,000+ digital photographs that I had never found time previously to sort through.
