Observation notes: Seen fluttering among some brush and conifer trees along a path at a nature center. Smaller than usual size. Landed and stayed on the dead grasses for about 3 minutes with wings out, briefly lifted them, then took off in flight again. Size: Approx. 1.75" wingspan. Weather: 64 degrees, 31% humidity, clear skies.
