Observation notes: One of a few nectaring at Fendler's buckbrush (Ceanothus fendleri) on a sunny, warm (not too) day. some were nectaring at thistles (Cirsium sp.)

Coordinator notes: This was the first sighting of this (non-migratory) species east of Grant County and in Sierra County; an eastward range extension. It may be a new resident in this area, or a temporary colony. Time will tell.
