  Sighting 1239245

Observation date: November 04, 2019
Submitted by: Paul Prappas
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Fairly fresh individual. Fatal Metalmark is present in this area, and there are similarities in the contours of the metallic band. However, ground color is more even and lacks that contrasting dark band. Also, the dorsal banding seems more compact, with many more inner bands than you'd see on "nemesis." The extreme way the FW's metallic band bulges outward is right for this species. The Wright's Metalmark is similar too, and does make it into Mexico, but its FW metal bands don't bulge as much, and I'm not sure it makes it this far south.
