Observation notes: Based on some information, I found that it is a female. I was outdoors at a parking lot across an alfalfa field. She came and landed on me and my dress. She didn't leave for about an hour until I left. Seems very young...was surprised to spot her since online info suggests they are common in the east coast and I am from the southwest. Had her wings closed for majority of the time, but opened up a bit to reveal a beautiful, dusty lavender, irridescent color. Mostly stayed still but crawled around for a bit on my clothes and perched on my fingers. Quite interesting experience.
