Observation notes: It was scurrying across the path. I thought it looked weird and took a picture, and then saw a very similar looking caterpillar in the news today. Hot. sunny day probably in the 80's. Found on sidewalk in park with a variety of tree species. Right off the Cherry Creek River 100 yards or so

Coordinator notes: Your ID is correct....a very commonly seen caterpillar in late summer (hard miss something as yellow as that crawling by). Feeds on a lot of various host trees. Mike
