Coordinator notes: A difficult specimen. The dark central mark could be smaller than usual, and hidden by the position of the other hindwing. The row of three spots on the forewing upperside are larger than is normal for the Grey. And the forewing underside is a light brown colour, nothing like the dark grey of the Grey Comma. I understand that this could be caused by the light from above showing through the wing, but I don't think that the colour would change that much. Overall, I think that it is most likely an Eastern Comma. But you might be correct; it could be a Grey. Ross Layberry
