Coordinator notes: This is blackish subspecies deserti that looks like a Mormon Metalmark but is not. Real Mormon Metalmarks fly in that area in late summer and fall in one brood. This species has 2-3 broods spring to fall. Good luck in telling them apart now if you see one!
