Observation notes: Was on trunk of ornamental maple tree. Each time I attempted to move it to get another picture it went into 'protection mode'. Of course, the only way the red bands were visible was when it was curled up. The stick beside it is about 2 inches long. Please correct me if needed, many thanks.
