Observation notes: I have hiked the same trails and areas in Central New York for the last ten years. Usually I would see one or two Monarchs per week. Sometimes less. This year I've seen ten to twenty in a one to two hour hike. Several times per week. Others I have spoke to agreed. Just as info.
