Observation notes: Several individuals nectaring on blazing star in the northern section of the Newaygo Prairie Nature Sanctuary. 64 degrees, overcast and breezy. They would nectar, go to ground and shiver for a while, then return to nectaring. I could easily approach them to within 1-2 feet, both while nectaring and on the ground.
