Giant Swallowtail
Papilio cresphontes

Observation date: August 30, 2019
Date notes: Seen on Aug 29 2019 about 6 and Aug 30 2019 again at about 6:02pm nectaring on garden phlox, mixed with Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and Dark Morph Female Tiger Swallowtail's, so it may have been there longer and I didn't see it, thinking it was a dark morph as most of the females this season have been here. Now I'm seeing a few regular Tiger Swallowtail females, but until now, all female Tiger Swallowtails have been Dark Morphs this year. This was a pleasant surprise, twice.
