Observation notes: Weather was sunny and clear with a slight breeze; temperature was about 76 F. This guy was found in a restored prairie habitat at Perry Farm park in Bourbonnais, IL. Couldn't identify the host plant, but plants nearby include Queen Anne's lace, cup plant, prairie coneflower, red clover, and white sweet clover. I'm guessing it will be moth of some type, but I have no idea about the species.
