Coordinator notes: At least this one is different than the Mormon Fritillaries you reported! Coronis Fritillary flies earlier in the year, mostly at lower altitude in the canyon country. It has larger, rounder spots on the underside and a brown to brownish-green central disc on the hindwing where the spots are....it is not a common butterfly in western Colorado. I've only found it here on a few occasions. Much more common in the eastern Colorado Front Range. This was a good flight year for it there in the foothills 6000-8000 ft. Mike
