Coordinator notes: This is a female Melissa Blue (or Edwards Blue); you might find the Northern Blue north of Crested Butte in Gunnison but you have to get up to near timberline for it. On up the Taylor River toward Cottonwood Pass you find P. melissa pseudosamuelis which looks a little more like the Northern Blue with the red spots on the hindwings reduced in size and females with narrower color bands on the wings above (more separated spots on the hindwings).
