Coordinator notes: Austin...the correct name is Lycaena florus. Lycaena dorcas does not occur in the southern Rocky Mountains and it is a bog obligate species that feed on a different host (florus feed on Vaccinium). The BAMONA site has not loaded this name in the file so the only name you can select is Lycaena helloides which only occurs at lower altitude however, there is some mixing between them in the mid-elevation. You can read about this in PAPILIO (New Series) #12, p. 42. Google "Papilio (New Series)" and you can probably find it OK. I might have a hard copy of the entire publication I could send if necessary. There might be a copy at the Gillette Museum on the CSU campus.....Take care, Mike
