Observation notes: In October 2016 our ranch had an invasion of south Texas specialties' into our Ranch Native Plant Garden.. Great Southern White, Laviana White-Skipper, Dorante's Longtail, White-striped Longtail, Soldier, Coyote Cloudywing, Orange-barred Sulphur and possible Tropical Buckeye (Still being studied), It was in November that we thought the rare bugs were gone, until we spotted this Long-Tailed Skipper (Without a tail) feeding in the Native Plant Garden. I assume the long was taken by a predator. I did note that there are other Long-tails species that are similar and have a short tail, but none show the wing pattern that this bug does.
