Creole Pearly-eye
Enodia creola

Observation date: August 03, 2019
Submitted by: Hans Holbrook
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Both creola and portlandia seen at location the same morning. I suspected creola, but the possibility of a hybrid has been raised.
Status: Resident
Verified by: John Calhoun
Verified date: November 19, 2019
Coordinator notes: The black on the antennae of creola is not always clearly visible. It depends on the angle of the antennae to the camera and the intensity of the flash used. The characteristic elongated shape of the forewing and wavy postdiscal line indicate a male creola. JVC
