Observation notes: Seen flying in the middle of a meadow at the off-leash dog park, feeding on Plains Milkweed. Bat its wings constantly while feeding. Would feed, fly around (staying within an approximately 20' radius) and feed again. Large chunks of hind wings missing. Size: Approx. 5 - 5.5" wingspan. Weather: Extremely muggy, 86 degrees, 71% humidity, partly cloudy skies.
