Observation notes: I saw this butterfly along a grassy path in deep woods. Knowing it is a rare butterfly in this county, I returned on 8/5/19 attempting to locate it and to get some photos. Fifty minutes after starting my search, I located the butterfly on goldenrod approx. 250 yards from yesterday's location. The Satyr mostly kept to the path and its edges. It was the size of a Little Wood Satyr.
