Our summer fundraiser has arrived, and we need your help!
We depend on donations to keep Butterflies and Moths of North America freely available. If everyone who uses this resource makes a donation, we could cover our ongoing costs, develop new features, upgrade the system, and maybe even remove those pesky ads. Please make a one-time or recurring donation to show your support for this valuable source of information. Thank you!
Observation notes: Sunny afternoon with a light breeze. Butterfly spent a great deal of time on the pearly everlasting flower. Unknown fritillary is VERY orange.
The ventral view has white flares near black rectangles.
Dorsal view shows large black areas on the forewings.
Dorsal view of forewing and hingwings are bordered with two faint black lines.

Coordinator notes: It looks like zerene but could be something else. I'll go with zerene because of the thick forewing veins-Ken Davenport
