Observation notes: This specimen was first discovered in caterpillar form feeding on leaves of an elderberry bush. It was collected alive and raised in a terrarium, pupating no later than July 3rd. On July 12th the adult moth was observed to have emerged (exact date when the adult moth emerged is uncertain, though probably within a couple days of the 12th).
