Observation notes: CountyRoad 64, Slavonia Trail Head, Middle Fork Elk River, Routt County, Colorado. Elevation 8,400' N 40.78356 W 106.72237. It was puddling on dirt parking area with Mustard Whites (Pieris oleracea) and Western Tiger Swallowtails (Papilio rutulus). I saw only one skipper.

Verified date: August 04, 2019
Coordinator notes: This is not a skipper at all; in fact, it is the beautiful Lilac-bordered Copper, a member of the gossamer-wing butterfly family (Lycaenidae). Also, Mustard Whites are not present in Colorado, so the whites you observed were probably Margined Whites (Pieris marginalis).
Checklist region(s): United States, Colorado, Routt County
