Observation notes: This little caterpillar, who I've lovingly come to call "Summers Oakley," fell out of an oak tree and onto our trampoline. I've been trying to identify the little one for a while but I can't seem to find the species. It's hairless, smooth and cold, with tiny "tails" that look like extra legs on its rear end. It looks like a leaf that's just starting to turn orange. The little one is a bit sluggish right now but was very speedy on the trampoline. When frightened, it sticks its rear end in the air and stays completely still.
