Observation notes: I confirmed the species from this website, but I'm not 100% convinced it is a Himmelman's. Could also be a Sheppards or a Grape Plume Moth. I am not familiar with Plume moths. In fact when I first observed this moth flying, I thought it was a crane fly. It was not until it alighted on a blade of grass and I was able to get a few pics, that I realized this was something NEW, something SPECIAL.
