Observation notes: Hot day, sunny early and evening thunderstorms. Very humid, which makes drying wings take longer. This skipper sat on the milkweed leaf without moving, long enough for me to get a number of photos and adjust my camera, and was there when I left. this is the first time I have been able to get a photograph of this butterfly.
