Observation notes: Photo taken top of Slide Mountain, Catskills, NY USA on sandy, pebbly, dry trail. Saw approx 2 dozen of this type over three days of hiking on and around Slide Mountain. Weather was warm (highs in low 80s), partly cloudy during most of this time.
