Observation notes: Found on top of an open garage door, about 2 feet away from extensive grape vines. Noticed it when the garage door was closed and it fell to the ground. Mid afternoon, very humid and cloudy with thunderstorms just starting. Replaced the caterpillar in a sheltered part of the grape vine. It immediately started to crawl towards a leaf and started eating.
