Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Photo was at home. Home is rural and closely surrounded by hardwood forest. Weather had been rainy the night before, but was not raining when pic was taken. Common trees in our forest are oak, hickory, maple, locust, sassafras, tupelo, yellowwood, and a scattering of pine & cedar. Quite a bit of native azalea, rhododendron, and mountain laurel as well. If this moth were pink & yellow rather than green & brown, it would look like the Rose Maple Moth which we also see in our area.
