Observation notes: The moth was attached to the bottom of a store door in an outdoor shopping mall. Though there are only a few trees in the parking lot, the mall is in a town that has woods and many trees and such. As people opened and closed the door (I witnessed this at least 5-6 times) the moth stayed on the door and didn't move. It was on the door for at least an hour. The weather was warm -- 90 degrees and sunny. The previous day's weather was the same.
