Observation notes: I was a Swingman working against the “Ivanhoe”. We were on our 4th night tonight and it was I finish. The ship was required to have a moth check performed at the start. The ship was late arriving and it seemed the moth check was not very thorough as it didn’t take much time. Anyways I’ll get to the point. I found this moth in the cone basket. I caught it and put it in a plastic bag then called the Business Agent. He met me under the crane and I gave him the moth. He later said it was not a threat but I want to check with someone who knows what to look for. That’s why I’m here now This moth was really tough. I tried to grab him and he did his best to get away by climbing down in the cone basket , so I had to get tough. He got his gut punctured and spent 45minutes rolled uo in a ziplock bag, in my pocket while I worked and was still plenty strong
