Observation notes: I've seen these moths (?) a few times before on the Strawberry Peak trail just north of RedBox (Angeles Crest Highway and Mount Wilson road). This is the only semi decent image I've been able to get. Usually spotted in June and July. Fly during the day but keep to the shade. This one was on yerba santa with a bunch of variable checkerspots.
