Observation notes: this photo was originally a little over-exposed causing the butterfly to look silvery with very faint markings. So I darkened the photo some, and then brought out the saturation slightly, in an attempt to bring put the arc of ventral hindwing markings. This butterfly was originally more green than the photo reveals. But the light just caught it wrong, and before I could get another photo, it flew off. uite a few small green butterflies in the area that day, especially along the roadside seeps
