Observation date: June 17, 2019
Submitted by: gregslak
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Hiking up a small trail mid-day, sunny 70s, very quick light-colored moth was hard to follow and rather than landing on plants dived deep into dry grass along the trail. Primarily light beige to white, heavily speckled with delicate beige to brown markings, dark spots on leading edge of forewing- smudgy spot midwing. Antennae folded.

Coordinator notes: I walked through Macaria and Digrammia a few times before deciding on D. denticulata. D. californiaria is very similar but I don't think so.
